I have been buying J. Jill clothes for 20 plus years. I still have some of those first purchases. The quality has gone downhill in a big way. The sizing is also quite inconsistent now. Please bring back the quality!
I have shopped JJill since before they had brick and mortar stores. Back in the 90's and early 2000's I would be so excited for each new season of clothing, looking forward to rich colors and interesting prints and garments that fit my not-exactly-slim shape in a flattering way. I've stuck by JJill despite the fact that both quality and aesthetics have gone down but prices have stayed the same or increased. The colors for the last few seasons have been muddy and the garments seem shapeless and unflattering. I read the other reviews and agree - I have a number of garments that i still wear from the old days - a beautiful teal silk blouse, a deep fig corduroy button-up tunic, and several beautiful, lightweight pure merino wool sweaters. I bought two colors of the same sweater last winter that fit well, but after they were washed (according to label directions) they shrunk just enough - in the bust area only - to make them unwearable. I didn't try to return them. There is rayon in most of the sweaters now and it shrinks when washed. I'm afraid to buy a JJill sweater these days. I was looking forward to the September collection but after paging through the catalog that arrived today, I didn't find a single thing I wanted to buy, so I went online to see if there were other offerings that would appeal. Normally I find at least one or two, but NOTHING. Not a single thing. Just because we're mature doesn't mean we want shapeless, bland clothing! How about some tailoring? Please JJill? Get your mojo back before it's too late!

DO NOT apply for credit here or use credit. I pay my bills through my bank and they have refused and returned my payment while charging me $75.00 in late fees and finance charges. I paid my bill on time and have proof. If I had not paid my bill of $162.35 they would have charged me $75.00 in late fees for a bill that would only have been 30 days late. Their bank Commodity Bank calls several times daily and they are very rude. JJill has ok clothes but nothing worth this hassle. I've turned this over to my bank. Again... DO NOT USE THEIR CREDIT!
Yesterday at Friday, May 28,8:30 pm I placed an order. At 9:39 pm, May 28, I received an order confirmation and was advised I would receive an shipping. Confirmation "soon". Have not received one yet.
I called today May 29 at 6:30 pm to cancel the order (less than 24 hours since I placed the original order).
Apparently it is impossible to stop shipment since it has left New Hampshire. Where it will go from there I have no idea.
Only know deliver date is June 8th. Customer service mgr said "Oh, sometimes they ship earlier…"
-This is very deceptive. I only wish I had read reviews before ordering. My mistake!
-Only 2.5 stars out of 5.
-Out of 74 reviews 22% were poor and a whopping 49% were just flat out bad. NEVER AGAIN.
I go to Garden State Plaza, NJ, and Lark and Diane are so very helpful. I love their clothing and the majority of my stuff comes from J. Jill. Always different things.
I am a total Jill woman. 99%
I bought a dress,didn’t fit,the material wasn’t good.Tried to return,they given me the run around for a month.And now,will not answer me at all.Not a respected company
This pant which is 63% cotton, 33% rayon and 4% spandex stretches out while I am wearing it and becomes very baggy. Looks awful Why would you make a pant that stretches out like that?
The quality of fabric used for this pant must be poor. Rip off!
After reading other reviews of JJill, I am done buying from this company.
JJill offers free two day shipping through Shoprunners, so I don’t understand what the fuss is about regarding shipping. I’ve been a customer for years and haven’t had a problem.
Beware! J. Jill is now removing a lot of 1- and 2-star reviews from their website, even if they're not offensive or profane. I've reviewed the same garment twice and my reviews initially get approved and posted, then mysteriously disappear a day or two later. I also think they add a lot of fake positive reviews if an item is getting a lot of bad reviews from real customers.
I bought 2 shirts which totaled over the $75 minimum to get free shipping. I was charged $6.55 processing fees. They were cheap looking so I returned them. They charged me another $6.55 processing fee. So, I was charged $13.10 for nothing. JJill needs a better way to buy online. Most places have actual free shipping and free returns. I won’t order from JJill any longer!!
Received recent catalogue of J. Jill. Beautiful and unique clothing. This is the J. Jill I remember. Excited to wear my new items!
For 30 years I made jjill purchases and was my go to place for clothing. Then they changed the wearer fabric. Then the styling took a train to Kansas. But their prices remain really high. Sad that their line is so terribly diminished. Hate that that they are no longer a place I can depend on for clothing.
Loved this clothing line when first introduced but I have found that the quality of the clothing has really decreased while the price is still the same. If if they lowered the price I would not buy them. The styles are great but I don't want tops that get holes in them in the front at about the waist line after wearing a few times. When I compliained about this I was rudely told that I have moths. I replied and those moth must really be smart as they only eat holes in my Jill clothes and all in the same spot in the front about waist line. I am not fat either where my top could be rubbing against the countertop and causing this either. So I stopped purchasing their clothing. Period!

That is not a question, just a rant. This is Q&A only.

Well, Phillip, because women (and men?) keep wearing their clothes. You complain but you keep buying. What incentive do you give them to change?! Whose fault is it now?

Past 90 days, probably not. But some store managers will accept worn or washed merch if it's within 90 days and there's clearly a quality issue.
